One day the trumpet will sound and the Lord Himself shall descend with great power and glory. What a day of rejoicing that will be for our Saviour! He, whose body was mutilated, broken and bruised, will one day come for His bride. There is a song with the words “It will be worth it all when we see Jesus”. I think that the song in the heart of Jesus is “It will be worth it all when I see My bride”.
When Jesus was here on earth, He was human just as we are and He suffered pain, criticism, loneliness, heartache, rejection and ridicule just like we do. He knows first hand how we feel and that is why He is able to comfort us like nobody else can comfort us. Our families, friends and loved ones can comfort and encourage us, but only Jesus, our beautiful Saviour, can see into our hearts and literally feel our pain, horror and anguish. He sees the tears that we keep hidden behind a mask.
How it thrills my heart to know that my best friend, Jesus, will one day be rewarded for all that He endured for us. One glorious day, I will see Him face to face and look into His beautiful eyes of love and tenderness. He has had His arms of love around me for twenty six years and that day I will be able to put my arms around Him and give Him a hug. How I long for the day when I will see Him, my dear Saviour! Will you be able to rejoice when He comes back? Are you His bride or are you still in bondage to satan? Who is the master of your heart, Jesus or satan?
