Someone shared with me yesterday that she had to have her husband arrested because of his cruelty to her. She said that he doesn\rquote t pay attention to her anymore, that he is more interested in sports than in her. O dear friends, we do the same thing to Jesus. If He were to have us arrested because of the cruel things we say and do to Him, we would always be in jail.
There are many people who at one time were serving Jesus and telling everyone about His Love. However, they allowed themselves to become more involved with things rather than with the Saviour of the world. If we are so busy that we don\rquote t have time to spend with people who are hurting, then we are too busy.
We can't take our money and material possessions to Heaven. They don't impress the Heart of our Saviour. What touches the Heart of Jesus is the love that we give to Him and to a world that is hurting desperately! We do have to work to pay our bills but if we allow ourselves to become so engrossed in providing for our families financially that we don't provide for them emotionally, we are making Jesus sad.
I'm reminded of a man who said "My wife knows I love her because I married her". We know that Jesus Loves us because He proved His Love for us on the cruel Cross of Calvary, but if He didn't tell me every day that He Loves me it would break my heart. Is the Heart of Jesus hurting because you are too busy to take time for Him?
