It matters not how many times we fall and fail, what is important is how many times we allow Jesus to lift us and set us on the right path again. Someone told me “I wake up full of determination to keep my eyes focused on Jesus but many times during the course of the day I take my eyes off Him and put them on my problems”. Determination will never win the battle for us. We need to allow Jesus to be our Lifting Saviour.
Jesus will one day present us faultless. What a glorious day that will be when we stand in the presence of the One Who lifts us out of the stench of our past! We need to do our part. As soon as we realize that we have taken our eyes off Jesus and put them on our circumstances, we need to ask Jesus to lift us up once again.
He not only can present us faultless; He can keep us from falling. However, our hearts have to be right before Him. We can fool our family, our loved ones, and our friends, but we can never fool Jesus. He knows our every thought even before we think it. He sees into our hearts and knows our motives. We can do kind things for one another, but if we are doing them just for show, it makes Jesus sad.
If you have strayed from Jesus, allow Him to lift you up once again. He is Faithful and will finish what He has started if you will trust Him.
