ALL BECAUSE OF JESUS

“And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.”

Matthew 20: 30 – 34 King James Version

All of us are born with spiritual blindness. All of us are lost in our sins until Jesus passes by and touches our sin hardened cold hearts with His amazing unconditional love, His mercy, and His grace, forgiveness, understanding, compassion, tenderness and kindness. If you will notice in these verses that when the men called out to Jesus, He stood still and listened. So often in the busyness of our days when somebody calls out to us for help, we tend to answer them while our minds are on something else and we don’t give them our full attention.

One of the hardest things in life for me to do is to share what is in my heart with someone because I am a very private person. It is only by God’s help that I am able to share from my heart through the writings that Jesus inspires. I know, and I am sure that a lot of you do also, from my own personal experience that when I have cried out for help to people that many times they are so distracted by what they think has to be accomplished that day that they really don’t listen with their heart. One thing about Jesus is that He always listens with His heart.

The peace and joy that we have in this life is all because of Jesus. It is because of the sacrifice that He made for us on the cross that we can have this peace and joy in our hearts. I have a peace that the world didn’t give to me and the world can’t take it away. I have the assurance that Jesus loves me and no matter how many times I fail Him, and all of us fail Him, He still loves me. People can criticize me and all hell can come against me but I am anchored in the harbor of love, Jesus, and I am safe for all eternity. Jesus will be faithful to finish what He has started in my life. He will mature me and help me to please Him. O’ how I long to make Him happy! It is all because of Jesus that we can keep smiling when our hearts are breaking. Thank You, Jesus for loving us unconditionally.
