ALL FOR JESUS

“When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.”

Ecclesiastes 5: 4, 5 King James Version

You can have my money, Jesus, but not my time. You can have my time, Jesus, but not my money. How often we hold things back from Him. There is a song “All for Jesus”. If you have ever sung that song, then you have made a vow unto Him. You promised to give Him all that you are and all that you have. We need to give Him everything that we have because it all belongs to Him.

Our Heavenly Father set the example by giving us all that He had to give. He gave us His Son, Jesus. God did not have to send His Son into the world to be tortured, ridiculed, cursed, spat upon, mocked and tormented. God is God and He doesn’t have to do anything. However, out of His amazing Love and compassion for us, He opened His heart and sent His Son to die for us.

I don’t think it is possible to count all the lonely hours and minutes Jesus endured while here on earth. I don’t believe any of us have even a fingernail’s grasp of the many tears that Jesus shed because of being rejected. If you have ever been rejected by someone, then you know how it hurts. Think how our Saviour must have felt being rejected by everyone that day on the cross. He had no friends with Him that day because friends encourage, comfort and help you. That horrible day on the cross, everyone turned away from Him and He died alone in devastating pain and agony. Are you giving your all to Jesus, or are you keeping something for yourself?
