Jesus said that He is giving us a new commandment, that we love one another. He did not say it was a suggestion or an option; He said He was giving us a commandment. Today, I have received several emails asking me how Jesus can Love them if nobody else does. I felt the same way when I went through all those years of depression.
There is an urgency to show the love of Jesus to one another. There are people who are thinking about taking their lives even now. The things that we say, and the things that we do can make a difference. We need to step out of our comfort zone and get involved with people. It may not be convenient for us or fit into our schedules, but I’m sure it wasn’t convenient for Jesus to die for us.
We need to start proving to people that Jesus Loves them by the way we treat them. We need to spend more time praying for people. When people are with you, do they know that you love them? Do they know that you love Jesus? They will know that we are Christians by our love to them.
If today you feel that nobody loves you or cares about you, I tell you on the Authority of the Word of God, Jesus Loves you and cares about you. He hung on that cruel Cross and shed His Precious Blood for you. He proved His Love for you that day. Run to Jesus and invite Him into your heart. He is waiting for you with outstretched Arms.
