We don’t have even a fingernail’s grasp of how great and how wonderful and majestic Jesus is and how privileged we are that He even thinks about us. Why would the great and holy Saviour of the world humble Himself to look down on a world that rejects Him, mocks Him, curses Him and treats Him like a puppet at times? It is because He is love. He is not just the definition of the word “love”; He is Love! Only the compassionate tender and unconditional love that He has for us would cause Him to allow them to torture, abuse and crucify Him on a cross of horror and untold agony and pain.
We are to start praising Him when we wake up and keep praising Him until we go to bed. There is always something we can praise Him for during the day. We may have had a day where it seemed that nothing went as we planned it. Our schedules and deadlines may not have been met and we may not have accomplished all that we set out to do on that day but if we have Jesus as our personal Saviour, we can always praise Him for His forgiveness, mercy, understanding and kindness to us.
We may have experienced a lot of pain today but nobody has ever endured the pain and agony that Jesus suffered when He was mutilated for us on the Cross of Calvary. I have been in a lot of pain for two days but even in the midst of tears I have been able to say “Thank You, Jesus, for loving me and for caring about me”. There is no friend like Jesus! No one loves like Jesus Loves! He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is the beautiful rose of Sharon. He is the bright and morning star and the lily of the valley.
It doesn’t matter if we are on the mountain top of happiness or walking through the valley of despair, we are to praise Him all the time. How can we not praise this wonderful Jesus, the one who loves us so much that He willingly died for us? He is worthy to be praised and adored. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Thank God for our beautiful Saviour and friend, Jesus. Thank God that our Heavenly Father saw our need and opened His heart of unconditional love and sent His Son on a mission trip to save us so that we may live with Him for all eternity! Thank You, Jesus, for loving us and for dying for us.
