ALWAYS ALERT

“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.”

Isaiah 40: 28 King James Version

Many times we get weary with the struggles of life. We are in a battle against satan and this wicked, corrupted world. Jesus has already won the war over satan but we have daily attacks from the enemy. Jesus defeated satan when He shed His precious atoning blood for us on the agonizing, cruel cross of Calvary.

Jesus knows how it feels to be attacked with criticism, sarcasm, ridicule and scorn so He understands how we feel. He is always on the alert watching over us to keep us out of the traps of satan and the world. He was tempted just like we are, but He remained loyal to His Father.

There are times when we are tempted to go places and do things that break the heart of our Saviour. It is then that we need to run as fast as we can into the protective arms of Jesus. We are powerless to withstand temptations and trials in our own strength. Only Jesus has the power to keep us safe from harm. However, He can’t help us if we don’t tell Him that we need Him.

If you are being tempted to do things and go places that bring shame and dishonor to Jesus, cry out to Him and ask Him to hide you in the shelter and safety of His protective arms of Love. Unless you would be comfortable doing these things and going to these places with Jesus, don’t do them or go there. He is always on the alert but we have to do our part by not deliberately doing things that hurt Him and bring shame to Him.
