ALWAYS ONLINE

“And he said, The Lord is my rock and my fortress, and my deliverer; The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.”

2 Samuel 22: 2 – 4 King James Version

I think that most of us have had times when we couldn’t get online due to the server being down or technical problems. Jesus is always online. He never has technical problems and we never have to dial-up. He is just a prayer away. All we have to do is start talking. Are we always online for Him or does He have to wait days to communicate with us? Do we put Him on hold while we pursue our own interests? For some people, He has been knocking at their heart’s door for years.

I wonder how we would feel if Jesus told us to take a number, get in line and wait. He could have us make an appointment with Him and possibly have to wait for weeks, perhaps months to see Him. He doesn’t do these things because He knows how urgent it is to be able to talk to someone immediately when we are hurting. He has experienced first hand the pain of being rejected and ignored. He knows what it feels like to be all alone in the world.

Are you online for Jesus right now? Does He have to wait until you go to bed tonight to have you acknowledge Him? Is your heart’s door open for Him anytime day or night? O that we would always be online in our hearts to praise Him and tell others of His amazing unconditional love! If you have bitterness, unforgiveness and resentment in your heart, allow the Master Technician to fix it.
