AN EMERGENCY

“And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at thine hand.”

There are people that don’t believe that Jesus is the Saviour, that He is just a person. How this must break the heart of God and our precious Saviour! These verses make it very clear that if we don’t warn the people and tell them about Jesus and that they need to repent, it will be our fault if they die in their sins.

Many people think that preaching hell to them and telling them what terrible sinners they are will make them change their ways. That is not true. There is only one person who can change a person’s heart and His name is Jesus! We will never be effective witnesses for Jesus if we don’t show them His Love. Yes, we do need to tell them what the Bible says about sin, but then we need to shut up and start praying for them. We need to live our lives so that they will hear and see Jesus in our words and in our actions.

Unless a person believes Jesus Loves them, they will never turn to Him and open their heart to Him. If we go around with a frown on our face most of the time, they will not believe that Jesus gives happiness, joy and peace. Have you grasped the urgency of spreading the Love of Jesus to everyone? If you don’t love Jesus, then this will not be an emergency to you, but if you love Him with all of your heart then you will understand.
