ANOTHER DAY TO SERVE HIM

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.”

Lamentations 3: 22 - 25 King James Version

Yesterday with all of its heartaches and problems is gone. Tomorrow has not come and may not come for some of us but we have today to serve Jesus. There are days when we are overwhelmed with discouragement and disappointments. Then we have days that are filled with joy and laughter. Even when we have days when it feels like all hell has come against us, we have an anchor and His name is Jesus. He is our solid rock in the midst of life’s storms and heartaches.

Just as the compassions of Jesus are new for us every morning so we should start each day by asking Him to give us compassion for others. There are so many people who are lonely and hurting. They desperately need people to not only tell them about the love of Jesus; they also need people to prove to them that Jesus loves them by their kind words and actions. Never forget that words without actions mean nothing.

Jesus is faithful to us. He never leaves us or fails us. Oh that we could say that we never leave Him or hurt Him, but we are human and we are not perfect. There will be times when we hurt Him and fail Him. Hopefully, for those of us who claim to be Christians, we don’t do it on purpose. Thank God for His faithfulness, for His mercy, for His kindness, for His tenderness, for His understanding and especially for His love for us.

You have a choice to make. You can choose to serve Jesus today or you can choose to serve satan. Only you can make this choice. Who do you choose to serve today, Jesus or satan? Remember, if you are not telling people every day that Jesus loves them, then your day has been in vain. You may have accomplished everything on your schedule and made a lot of money but again, if you have not taken the time to tell people how much Jesus loves them, everything that you did during the day means nothing to Jesus. Who will you serve today, Jesus or satan?
