When two people fall in love, a lot of times they take their loved one home to meet their parents. How sad dear people, that we don’t take our loved ones to meet Jesus. Yes, we pray for them, but many times we turn them away from Jesus by the way we live our lives and the cruel words we say to them.
A friend of mine came to my house several months ago very excited because she had made her mother something with her own hands and was anxious for her mother to see it. Yet this mother does not know Jesus and my friend never told her about Him. Many times we don’t have the right words or feel uncomfortable about sharing Jesus with our families and friends. It does not matter what we say to someone; if we don’t live a life consistent with our words, they will never see Jesus in us.
It is so important that we live a life that draws others to Jesus. If we walk around with a frown all the time, never smiling or laughing, they will not see the Joy that Jesus gives to us. Sometimes, it’s hard to smile because of heartaches and situations, but if we have Jesus in our hearts then we have a reason to smile and rejoice.
Before you can bring someone to Jesus, you must know Him yourself. Do you know Jesus today?
