Two years ago when God entrusted the ministries of composing inspirational writings and encouraging pastors to me, I was totally unaware of all the critical and sarcastic emails that I would receive. All I knew was that I loved Jesus and wanted to serve Him.
I remember the first time someone sent me an email that had nothing but criticism in it that I read it with disbelief. I couldn’t understand why someone would send me such a hateful email when all I was doing was telling about the Love of Jesus. I cried out to Jesus and He reminded me that when He was here on earth people were also critical and abusive to Him when He tried to give them His Love.
If we are serving Jesus then we need to stay on the alert and make certain that we start our day pleading the blood of Jesus for protection over our emotions and our lives. Nothing makes satan any happier than to see us become discouraged and retreat from our stand for Jesus. However, Jesus has promised us that “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”
If you are hurting, remember Jesus understands how you feel because He felt the same way. Allow Him to comfort and encourage you as only He can. We are to encourage each other but only Jesus can take the pain and anguish from our hearts.
