CLEANSED BY THE BLOOD

“After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”

I have received many emails from people who tell me that Jesus can’t forgive them for something terrible they have done. I submit to you on the authority of the Word of God that when Jesus said “It is finished” every sin was put under the blood. To say that Jesus can’t forgive us is to call Him a liar and make His agonizing crucifixion nothing but an historical event.

I have to be honest and tell you that I used to feel the same way. I did something that I should not have done forty years ago and for many years, I did not believe Jesus could forgive me for doing it. One day, I heard Billy Graham say “If you don’t believe Jesus can forgive you, you are calling Him a liar”.

I don’t care what you have done, Jesus Loves you. We hurt Him and fail Him many times, sometimes without even realizing it but if we have confessed our sins to Him and asked Him to forgive us, they are under His precious atoning, cleansing blood. Don’t let satan and the world tell you otherwise.

Our Saviour payed an agonizing price for our forgiveness. Please don’t let Him have gone through all that horror and pain for you and then reject Him. Open your heart and life to the Christ of Calvary. Confess your sins and ask Him to forgive you. He will put them under His cleansing blood and will never hold them against you again.
