CLING TO JESUS

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

2 Corinthians 12: 9 King James Version

I have not been feeling well for three weeks. I think I had a virus as I had all the symptoms that I have had many times. It has been over a year since I have felt so weak. Today is the first day that I am not running a little fever. I just cleaned the toilet and I felt so weak that I had to sit on a chair to clean it.

There are many times in our lives when we get spiritually weak. It can happen from not reading the Bible, not praying, and not keeping our eyes on Jesus. It also can happen because we are going through a very painful, devastating situation and we just don’t have the strength to do what we need to do. We don’t even have the strength to pick up the Bible.

Jesus says that His Strength is made perfect in weakness. Just as I had to sit down to clean the toilet, we need to cling to Jesus when the world comes against us and we want to give up. He will be our Strength. He will fight our battles against satan and the world.

Thank God for the trials of our lives because without them we would not fully appreciate all Jesus does for us. He is our Anchor in the storms of life.

Are you hurting today? Cling to Jesus and He will give you strength. Reach out your hand to Jesus as His Hand is stretched downward to lift you out of your heartaches and pain.
