COME INTO HIS PRESENCE

“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.”

Psalm 122: 1 King James Version

“I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart. I will enter His courts with praise. I will say this is the day that the Lord hath made. I will rejoice for He has made me glad.” We sing this beautiful love song to Jesus but if we are only singing this when we go to church then our love for Him is only good on the day we attend church. We must have a burning desire in our hearts to come into His presence every day, and yes, every hour. It is only when we are in His presence that we have fullness of joy.

However, we need to be careful how we go into His presence. We should go with a humble heart and a contrite spirit. We should never go into His presence with an arrogant heart and make demands of Him. He is not a name and claim it God! He is to be treated with respect, dignity, honor, awe, and appreciation. How dare we approach a Holy God and make demands of Him! He is not obligated to do anything except hear the sinner’s prayer because He said that who ever comes to Him, He would not cast out.

There is no joy, there is no happiness and there is no real peace, a peace that the world can’t give and the world can’t take away unless we stay constantly in the presence of Jesus. That doesn’t mean we have to pray every minute of the day but it does mean that our hearts should constantly be in an attitude of thanksgiving, appreciation and prayer. We should always keep our hearts in tune with His heart by allowing Him to tune our hearts daily, hourly, and every minute if necessary.

If we allow bitterness, resentment, criticism, hatred and sarcasm to stay in our hearts, we not only make satan very happy we also hurt Jesus and make Him very sad. Are you in His presence right now as you are reading this? If not you not only are without real peace, real joy and real happiness, you are breaking the heart of Jesus. Sometimes I get so happy and so excited that I literally have to force myself to stop thinking about Him because it feels like my heart is going to explode with happiness. You’ve tried everything else and still have no peace, give your heart and life to Jesus and you will have a peace, joy and happiness that is impossible to put into words.
