COME TO THE WATER

“When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.”

Isaiah 41: 17, 18 King James Version

There are times in our lives when our hearts become dry from lack of encouragement, and from criticism and sarcastic remarks. When it feels like we can’t take another step or give another smile, it is then that we need to run as fast as we can to the living water and His name is Jesus. If we are unable to run, walk or even crawl, then we need to ask someone that we trust to carry us to Jesus.

I was talking with a friend this morning about a restaurant that has been opened for months and the cups for water have always been free. This morning they started charging ten cents for the cup. We will never have to pay for the living water. It is free to us. Jesus paid the price so that we may have this living water. It cost Him His life’s blood to purchase our salvation. What amazing unconditional love from the heart of our Saviour! He, who knew no sin, took our sins on Him so that we may be saved.

Are you walking through trials and heartaches that have left you dry in your heart? Has the world and satan tried to take the joy, peace and happiness from you? No matter what heartaches and problems you are facing today, Jesus is the answer because He is the living water. He will satisfy your thirst and encourage your heart. He will once again give you an excitement, joy, happiness, peace and determination in your heart. What a friend, this Jesus of Nazareth! Do you know this beautiful Saviour? Have you surrendered your heart and life to Him?
