DECORATIONS OF JESUS

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

John 14: 1 - 3 King James Version

My sister gave me the most beautiful shower curtain for my bathtub. It is very colorful and has flowers on it. She knows that I like bright colors and flowers. As I was looking at it last night, I realized that it matched my green bath mat. I am not color coordinated at all. I have to ask my sister what matches and then most of the time, I forget what she tells me.

I’m so thankful to God for my sister because without her guidance, her compassion and her concern for me through the years, I would not be where I am today. As many of you know from reading my devotionals, I spent many years in a crippling depression and my sister not only opened her heart to me, she opened her home to me. I would like to say a heart felt thank you to my wonderful sister.

Jesus is decorating our mansions in heaven with His perfect touch and they are color coordinated. Everything in our mansions is perfect because Jesus is decorating them. When we ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins and come into our hearts to be our personal Saviour, He decorates our hearts with the color red for the forgiveness of our sins through His precious blood that He shed for us on the cross. He also decorates our hearts with the color white because He is the Lamb of God.

Not only is He decorating our mansions, He is coming again for us so that we may live with Him forever. What a glorious, victorious and happy day that will be! We will see our blessed Saviour face to face. O how I long for that day! We will also see our loved ones who have already gone to be with Jesus. We will be reunited with our loved ones for all eternity. Yes, it hurts terribly when a loved one dies but praise God, we have the assurance that we will see them again and it’s all because of the amazing love of Jesus.

Do you have a mansion reserved for you in heaven? If you have never humbled yourself, admitted you are a sinner and asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart to be your personal Saviour, then you do not have a mansion in heaven. Jesus has to decorate your heart with His blood for the forgiveness of your sins before He can decorate a mansion for you in heaven. If you have never asked Jesus to forgive you and come into your heart to be your personal Saviour, I urge you; I plead with you to do it right now.

Please don’t put this decision off as it is the most important decision that you will ever make. It is literally a decision between spending eternity in heaven with Jesus or spending eternity in hell with satan. Nobody else can make this decision for you as much as they want to do so. Salvation is a personal issue and every person must make the decision for himself or herself. Where will you spend eternity, in heaven or in hell?
