DOES HE HAVE A BLANKET?

“And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”

John 18: 18 Matthew 24: 12 King James Version

I woke up very early this morning and my trailer was very cold. I got up and answered emails and then went back to bed and snuggled under my warm blanket. I wondered if Jesus had a warm blanket to snuggle under when He was here on earth. Did He have a coat to keep Him warm? Does He have a place of comfort and warmth in our hearts?

There are times when we allow our hearts to become filled with bitterness, resentment, hatred, sarcasm and criticism. There is no place of warmth and comfort for Jesus to rest in our hearts when we allow that coldness to build up in our hearts. As soon as we realize that we have those things that make Jesus uncomfortable in our hearts, we need to go to Him and ask Him to forgive us and melt the iciness from our hearts.

You may feel cold in your heart because of unkind things and cruel actions that have been said and done to you; however your family, loved ones and friends may also feel cold from the unkind words and unkind actions you have said and done to them. If so, go to them, tell them you’re sorry and ask them to forgive you.

Does Jesus have a blanket of comfort and warmth in your heart today, or is your heart filled with unforgiveness and bitterness? Jesus suffered excruciating pain while He was here on earth; let’s give Him a place of comfort and warmth in our hearts.
