One day the final roll call will be taken and there will be nobody coming in late. One day our names will be called and if our names our not written in the book of life we will not only be cast into the lake of fire, we will be separated from Jesus for Eternity.
I know what it is like to be without Jesus. I lived for over forty years without Him. I had no peace, no joy, no happiness, no friends and no desire to live. One day, He came to me and put His Loving Arms around me and whispered in my ear “I Love you, Joanne. I will never leave you or hurt you.”
That wonderful day was August 14, 1980. Until that day, nobody had ever told me that they loved me. Jesus deposited His Love into my heart and poured His Healing Compassion on my hurts. He came to me when I couldn’t go to Him. There is no friend like Jesus. There is nobody that compares to Him. He is the very breath that I take, and the song of my heart. O’ how I love Jesus!
We need to live our lives with excitement and joy so that our loved ones and friends who don’t know Jesus will see our happiness and want Him. We need to grasp the urgency of the moment. The trumpet could sound even as I write this and Jesus could descend. O’ how my heart yearns to see Him, but I have loved ones and friends that aren’t ready to meet Him.
Are you ready to meet Jesus? Is your name recorded in the book of life? One day, it will be too late. Don’t miss out on being with Jesus for all Eternity.
