I just saw a family program on television and it showed a scene where this man had been in an accident and had given up and wanted to die. One of his friends pretended that he was hurt which motivated the man who wanted to die to go for help even though he fell several times and was hurting badly.
One day, our compassionate Saviour walked that long lonely road to be crucified on an old rugged cross because we were hurting and unable to save ourselves. Jesus became our fountain of Love that day when He gave His precious atoning blood for our salvation. He not only gave His blood for us, He forgave us from the old rugged cross. What a Saviour, this Jesus of Calvary!
I have seen many beautiful fountains in pictures, but one day I felt a beautiful fountain, the day Jesus deposited His Love and forgiveness in my heart. Jesus who had never sinned or hurt anybody allowed Himself to be tortured and beaten beyond recognition for us. He hung there in agony for you and for me. Not only was He beaten physically, He was beaten emotionally. His heart was broken for you and for me on that dark day.
Do you know this fountain of Love? Has there ever been a time in your life when you asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart and save you? O dear friends, if you haven’t made a heart commitment to the Saviour of the world, I plead with you to do it now. Please don’t keep breaking His heart by rejecting Him. He deserves to be happy.
