On one of the Gaither Homecoming Videos that I have, Lynda Randall, one of my favorite gospel singers, touches my heart and inspires me every time I hear her sing this beautiful song “I’m Free”. Yes, thank God, one day we will be free from pain and sorrow and there will be no more crying. God Himself will wipe away the tears from our eyes with His tender and loving kisses.
On that glorious, beautiful and victorious day, Jesus will also be free from all pain, sorrow and tears. Every time that our hearts are broken and we cry, He cries with us. When we have heavy burdens and overwhelming heartaches and are experiencing tremendous emotional pain, He feels our pain and His heart is broken and He hurts with us. When we are full of excitement, joy and happiness, He is full of gladness and He rejoices with us.
Not only does Jesus love us unconditionally, He is Love! Without Him there would be no love in this world because He is the beginning and the meaning of real love, a love that is unconditional, lasting and unchanging. I think sometimes we forget that He grieves with us when we hurt. Someone told me last year that Jesus is in heaven with His Father and He no longer is sad. That is not a true statement. It hurts Him and makes Him sad when we say critical, harsh and sarcastic words to people.
I submit to you on the authority of the Word of God that Jesus is a loving Saviour and His love is never ending. He loves us no matter what we do. We may break His heart every day, and sad to say sometimes we are guilty of this, but He still loves us. There is nothing we can do that would cause Him to withdraw His love from us. He proved His amazing, undeserved and unconditional love for us when He died on that cross of horror and pain.
Are you free from your sins? Have you confessed that you are a sinner and asked Jesus to forgive you and wash you in His precious atoning blood? If not, then you are still in bondage to satan. You will never know real freedom, love, joy, peace and happiness until you surrender your heart and life to the Christ of Calvary. I urge you to fall in love with Jesus and give your heart and life to Him today before it is too late!
