GOD’S CALENDAR

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

Genesis 1: 1- 5 King James Version

I believe that God has a calendar for every one of us and that He puts a red check mark on every person’s calendar for the days that we serve Him. The days that we don’t serve Him, I believe that He puts a black check mark on the calendars. I think that when He looks at our calendars and sees the black check marks that it makes Him very sad.

There are only two choices that we have; one is to serve Jesus and the other is to serve satan. There are no other choices and each one of us has to make the choice. Jesus said in Matthew 12:30 “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.”

Sometimes we get greedy and try to make a lot of money so that we can have a lot of big and expensive things. Jesus also talked about this in Matthew 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

I have read about missionaries who left their comfortable homes and all of their possessions to follow Jesus. We may not be called to serve Jesus in a different country but all of us are called to spread the love of Jesus to our own families and to our own neighborhoods. I have received a lot of emails from people who asked me “How can I spread the love of Jesus to my family?” I think that one of the greatest ways that we can spread the love of Jesus to our families is to do everything that we possibly can to avoid arguments. God has called all of us to be peacemakers.

When God looks at your calendar, does He see red checks or does He see black checks? Who are you serving, Jesus or satan? Serving Jesus should be the top priority in every person’s life who claims to be a child of God. It is possible to be a child of God and not love Jesus. The level of our service to Jesus depends on how much we love Him. How much do you love Him? Again, the level of our service to Jesus depends on how much we love Him.
