GOD’S FIREWALL

“And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”

All of us who have computers are familiar with firewalls. They protect us from things that could cause our computers to crash. The blood of Jesus is the firewall that God has placed at the door to heaven. It is keeping out all sin and corruption which brings shame to our Saviour from entering into heaven and defiling it. Without the precious atoning blood of Jesus applied to our hearts, we will never get into heaven. Not only is the blood of Jesus applied to our hearts for the forgiveness of our sins a requirement to get into heaven, it is also a gift of love and compassion given to us from the heart of Jesus.

The blood of Jesus covers all sins, not just some of them. It covers the sin of lying as well as the sin of murder. It covers the sin of breaking the speed limit as well as the sin of homosexuality. When Jesus hung on that cross of horror and torture, He took on Him every sin so that we may be forgiven, cleansed and assured of a home in heaven with Him for all eternity. What amazing love from the heart of our precious Saviour! There is no friend like Jesus! No one loves like Jesus Loves!

Has the cleansing atoning blood been applied to your heart so you will be able to get through the firewall and spend eternity with Jesus? If not, my heart breaks for you and I cry out from the depths of my heart with compassion for you and urge you to say “Yes” to Jesus before it is too late! Don’t put it off as you may not have another minute. We don’t know when Jesus is coming back for us but He is coming and we need to be ready. We won’t have time to get ready when the trumpet of victory sounds and Jesus descend with a shout of happiness and triumph.

I plead with you to give your heart and life to Jesus now! He will be the dearest friend you have ever known. He will never leave you, not even for a minute. He will take your hand and walk with you through the times of joy and happiness and the times of discouragement and sorrow. He will sit beside your bed during the long lonely nights when all the doubts, fears, and heartaches come to haunt you. He will lean over your bed and gently and tenderly kiss away your tears of anguish and desperation. He loves you so much that He died for you. He is the beautiful Rose of Sharon, the bright and morning star, the lily of the valley and the King of kings! Hallelujah to Jesus, the Lamb of God and the Saviour of the world!
