GODíS FLU SHOT
ďA merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.Ē
When the electricity was off after Hurricane Dennis hit us last month, many of my neighbors came bringing ice, water, and food. They know that I donít have a car and am unable to get these things. Since the hurricane, I have only had one neighbor contact me.
We take our children to get shots to prevent measles, chicken pox, and other diseases. All of us need a shot of friendship and encouragement every day of our lives. The person who says that he or she does not need anyone is not being truthful.
When people email you, call you, or come visit you, then your heart rejoices and you go through your day with a lighter heart. It is not really that person that makes you feel happier, it is the Love of Jesus put into action by that person who made a special effort to contact you.
Are you giving others Godís Flu Shot of happiness and encouragement, or are you giving them satanís flu shot of sorrow and discouragement?
