GOD’S GRACE

"And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord."

Genesis 6: 5-8 King James Version

Every time I read these verses, my heart breaks at the thought of my Best Friend, Jesus, being so sad. He had to have been extremely sad and hurt to destroy man. The verse says, "every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually". It does not say that man had good thoughts and bad thoughts; it says his thoughts were constantly evil.

When Jesus looks in your heart, what does He see? Does He see compassion for others? What are you thinking about right now? Are you thinking about how you can spread the Love of Jesus to others, or are you thinking about how you can get even with someone who has hurt you?

If Jesus were to get even with us for hurting Him, we would all be on our way to hell for Eternity. Thank God for the Mercy and Grace of Jesus! Thank God for the Compassionate Heart and Love of Jesus for us! None of us deserve His Love, Grace, and Mercy. Every one of us has broken His Heart, and continue to break His Heart in some way, every day.
