Have you ever heard the saying “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade”? That is exactly what God did for me when He sent Jesus to die for me. Because of Jesus, I now have His lemonade of Love in my heart. I was raped on Thanksgiving day twenty seven years ago and my Mother passed away on Christmas day several years ago.
Jesus turned my mourning into dancing and put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness. I have a peace in my heart that the world didn’t give me and the world can’t take it away. His Love for me is anchored deep within my heart and all hell can’t remove it. There is absolutely nothing or nobody who comforts like our blessed Saviour! We can turn to alcohol and drugs to escape thinking about our pain and it may work for a little while. However after we sober up, the pain comes back worse than before.
These last two weeks I have received a lot of emails from people who are hurting and feel all alone. There are not enough words of comfort we can say to people when they are hurting. Jesus not only has all the right words; He is the solution to our pain. I don’t know what you are going through right now but He knows and His heart is filled with Love and compassion for you. Go to Him and let Him comfort you. He will be faithful to take the darkness and pain from your heart. There is no one who loves like Jesus! There is no greater friend than Jesus!
