When I was unable to sleep at night, I would read a book until I got so sleepy that I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Last night, it was just the opposite. I was sleepy and on my way to bed at three o’clock this morning. I decided I wanted to look for a Bible Verse, so I opened my Bible to Isaiah and started reading. I got so excited that I read the first fifteen chapters without realizing it.

The Bible has every kind of story that you will find at a library. It contains violence, greed, jealousy, murder, romance, and excitement. The next time you want something to read, I urge you to pick up the Bible. It will satisfy the longing in your heart a lot more than a book from the public library.

Jesus has done so much for us that it is impossible to record everything. He has done more for us than we realize. He died for us, suffered torture for us, wept for us, and even today, He weeps for us. It breaks the Heart of Jesus when we are hurting. He wants us to be happy.

What have you done for Jesus today? Have you called someone or hugged someone? Have you told someone that Jesus Loves him or her? We need to do a lot more than we do for Jesus. There is no Friend like Jesus!
