When I attended Bee County College, Delmar College and Southwestern Business School, my major was Secretarial Science. Now I am attending God’s University and my major is Jesus. I want to know all I can about Him. I want to know what makes Him happy and what makes Him sad. I had professors in college, but now the Holy Spirit is teaching me about the heart of Jesus.
We can learn all the geographical places in the Bible, all the events of the Bible and about all the people of the Bible but if we don’t learn about the heart of Jesus, we are sadly lacking in our education. Before we can tell others about the love of Jesus we have to experience His Love personally. It is not enough to have a head knowledge of Jesus; we must have a personal relationship with Him. This does not mean just confessing our sins and asking forgiveness. It means an ongoing daily fellowship with Him. It means putting Him ahead of everything and everybody.
One day there is going to be the biggest graduation party the world has ever known. I don’t want a diploma or flowers. I want to hear Jesus say “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”. I want to live a life that is pleasing to Him and makes Him happy. However I fail Him every day in some way. There is always another phone call or email of encouragement I could have made or sent. Thank God for His understanding and forgiveness. Are you enrolled in God’s University, or are you attending the school run by satan? Who are you serving, Jesus or satan?
