GREAT IS HIS MERCY

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

All of us have days where it seems nothing goes right and everything that we wanted to do didn’t get done. The hours go by and we still haven’t talked to Jesus or read the Bible. We get so caught up in what we want to do that many times without even realizing it, we forget about Jesus. It must hurt Him because He has such a tender heart.

There are times when we lose our temper and say things and do things that hurt the heart of Jesus. Thank God for His mercy and compassion. Without His grace, mercy, understanding, forgiveness, Love and compassion, we would stay in trouble. Jesus is a loving Saviour and He cares about us and wants us to be happy.

He tells us to keep our eyes on Him, yet often we take our eyes off of Him and put them on our circumstances and then we wonder why we don’t have peace. The Bible says “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee.” (Isaiah 26:3) He has given us everything necessary to live a happy and peaceful life but we must stay focused on Him, and not on the world or our circumstances.

If you haven’t been spending time with Jesus and reading the Bible, not only are you missing a blessing, you are breaking His heart. He longs to fellowship with you and is waiting for you with His arms open wide and a heart filled with Love. Let’s give Jesus first place in our time, our activities, and in all we do.
