HAVE YOU FELT HIM?

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9: 6 King James Version

I received an email from a person who is weary and searching for peace. This person claims to have accepted Jesus as personal Saviour. If you have made a heart commitment to Jesus and not just a head and verbal commitment to Him, then you will not only have peace because He is our peace, you will feel this peace in your heart. Jesus gives us a lasting peace, a peace that the world can’t give and the world can’t take away. Even in the midst of trials and heartaches, we will have this peace because not only is He our peace, He is peace.

If you have read my writings, then you know that for over forty years I was locked up in mental hospitals off and on and endured a crippling depression where I was unable to even take care of my basic needs. I was completely dead inside. I didn’t care about anything or anybody and had no desire to live and wanted to kill myself. I told people that Jesus is the Saviour of the world because the Bible says so, but I didn’t believe it in my heart. I had never established a personal relationship with Him and so I was not saved. I had never felt His peace and joy in my heart. We must have a personal relationship with Him.

I submit to you on the authority of the Word of God, that if you haven’t felt the joy, peace and happiness that Jesus gives when He saves us and comes into our hearts, then you have never made a heart commitment to Him and you are still lost in your sins and on your way to an eternity without Him. Without Jesus in our hearts, there is no peace and there is no happiness or joy.

We must have a wedding day with Jesus, a day when He enters into our hearts, becomes our bridegroom and cleanses our hearts with His ring of atoning blood that He shed for us on the cross. On that glorious day, He gives us His amazing unconditional love, a lasting peace, mercy, kindness, tenderness, understanding, joy and happiness for all eternity.

If you are married then you know that when you said “I do” and the minister pronounced you “husband and wife”, you felt an excitement and a joy and happiness in your heart. It is the same with Jesus. If you have truly opened your heart to Him, then God has pronounced you united in marriage with Jesus. Has there ever been a time when you became united in marriage in your heart with the Saviour of the world? If you don’t know for sure; if you have even one doubt, then you need to run as fast as you can into the loving arms of Jesus. He has already said “I do” when He died on the cross for our sins and shed His precious blood. He is waiting for you to say “I do”. Say yes to Jesus before it is too late.
