HE LOVES US ALL EQUALLY

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”

Psalm 37: 3 – 5 King James Version

Someone asked to be removed from my mailing list because this person felt like Jesus loved me more than He loved this person because I have had so many prayers answered. Jesus does not play favorites. He loves all of us with the same compassionate, understanding and unconditional love. There was a time in my life when I didn’t have any of my prayers answered and the reason why they weren’t answered was because I did not delight myself in the Lord.

I lived only for myself and I took advantage of people. I was hard hearted, selfish and judgmental. I didn’t like anybody and I had no desire to be around anyone. However, the Holy Spirit convicted me of my selfishness. I asked Jesus to forgive me for being so selfish and self-centered, and for being so hard hearted and for only thinking about myself.

He is such a loving and compassionate Saviour and He graciously forgave me and has never reminded me of it again and He never holds it against me. Oh, that you and I would treat others the way our precious Saviour treats us. So often when people hurt us, we may tell them that we forgive them but we harbor bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness in our hearts. If we do not forgive people from our hearts, we have not forgiven them.

As I was looking around my home yesterday, I saw so many beautiful pictures and decorations that my family and friends have so lovingly given to me. My home was not always decorated with pretty things. In fact, when I was living only for myself and being so selfish, many times I did not have a home and had to sleep where I could. There were many times when I slept on a concrete floor without a mattress because of my selfishness and disobedience to Jesus.

I did not have a home or any of these beautiful pictures and decorations until I surrendered my heart and life to Jesus and started serving Him and loving other people unconditionally. I am human and I sometimes get upset with people, and yes, even lose my temper. However, I immediately ask Jesus to forgive me and ask them to forgive me.

If you feel like Jesus loves somebody more than He loves you, please know that He loves you as much as He loves anyone else and He longs to bless you and make you happy. However, until you have given Him your heart, your life, and your time, He can not bless you. Search your heart and be sure that there is nothing that is displeasing to Jesus. If there is something between you and our precious Saviour, confess it and ask Him to forgive you and help you to serve Him as He wants you to serve Him. Remember He loves you as much as He loves anyone else.
