HE’S STILL THERE

“For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.”

Psalm 18: 28 King James Version

When I was walking back from the mailbox a couple of days ago, I looked up at the sky. We were under a tropical storm watch and it was very cloudy and dark. As I was looking at the clouds, the sun came out. I only saw it shining for about a couple of minutes and then it disappeared. The clouds were hiding the sun but it was still there.

The same is true when the storms clouds of life fill our hearts with darkness and despair. If we will look at Jesus instead of looking at our circumstances, we will see the Son shining brightly. He is still there and He will be faithful to remove the darkness and despair from our hearts and replace them with the glorious light of His peace and hope. It doesn’t matter how many trials or heartaches we have in this life. Jesus is more than able to remove the darkness and replace it with His shining light.

When we sit at the bedside of a loved one who is ill, He is there with us. There are times when we may not feel that He is there, but He has promised us that He would never leave us and He is there with us. When our children have gone astray and we are frightened that something might happen to them, He is there to comfort and encourage us. He loves our children a lot more than we do and He will not let anything happen to them if we will but trust Him and not doubt Him.

Unless you have made a heart commitment to Jesus and asked Him to be your Saviour, you will be in darkness for all eternity. Do you have the light of Jesus in your heart? Have you invited the Christ of Calvary into your heart to be your personal Saviour? If not, I urge you to do it right now before it is too late. One day it will be too late. One day the trumpet is going to sound and Jesus will come back for us with a victorious shout. Are you going to go with Him when He returns to take us home or will you spend eternity with satan? Who do you choose, Jesus or satan?
