HE WATERED IT WITH TEARS

“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

I believe with all my heart that the tree which was used for the cross of Jesus was watered with the tears of God. I don’t believe it was watered like all other trees with rain; I think that so many tears fell from the heart of God that it was enough to water it. He knew that His beloved Son would one day be tortured, abused and crucified on that tree.

Would you willingly make something that you knew would be used to kill your son? Absolutely not! This kind of unconditional, unselfish and amazing Love can only come from our Heavenly Father! How His heart must have been broken day after day as He watched the way people treated His Son when Jesus was here on earth! Even today, His heart breaks as He sees His Son being rejected and ignored by people.

There is no other name that thrills my heart and soul like the precious name of Jesus! His name is above every name! He is to be respected, honored, cherished and adored! I have said this countless times and I will continue saying it as long as I have breath. There is no friend like Jesus! No one loves like Jesus! It is a privilege to even think about Him, much less say His name. How many tears have you shed for Jesus? Do you love Him? If so, what are you doing to prove it to Him?
