HIS BLOOD COVERED IT ALL

“There is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

I have received eight emails in the last four weeks from people who are feeling guilty because of their past. I submit to you on the authority of the Word of God that if you have confessed your sins and asked Him to forgive you, then you are forgiven and you are no longer under condemnation. The atoning, cleansing and saving blood that Jesus shed for us on the cross of Calvary covers every sin. We have a loving, compassionate and merciful Saviour! He Loves us so much that He died for us.

For many years I also condemned myself and felt guilty even after I had confessed my sins and been forgiven. I finally understood that by constantly feeling guilty, I was saying that the blood of Jesus wasn’t enough to cover all sins. It doesn’t matter what we have done in the past, the precious blood of Jesus has washed every sin and covered it and He will never hold it against us again.

This does not give us permission to keep sinning just because we know that He is faithful to forgive us. If we sin on purpose after Jesus has forgiven us, then we will be judged and held accountable by a Holy God. Also, if we sin deliberately after He has forgiven us, then we are breaking the heart of our precious Saviour. If you have confessed your sins and stopped doing the things that were sinful, you are forgiven and they are under the blood of the Lamb. You can walk in freedom and victory through His atoning blood and with His help. Take His hand and He will be faithful to keep you from the snares of satan and the world.
