The name of Jesus is so precious. It calms the raging tempest in our hearts. There is no other name as sweet as the name of Jesus. We need to understand that it is a privilege just to say His name. Many times we take Him for granted. We expect Him to be here for us when we call upon Him. Yet, often we ignore Him unless we need Him.
He has promised us that He will never leave us or forsake us, but we leave Him. He yearns for us to fellowship with Him. Why is it that we can get up early in the morning to go on vacation but we can’t get out of bed to spend time with Him? I think we need to examine our priorities. If we are able to get up for things we want to do, but not to spend time with Him then we don’t love Him like we should.
When satan comes against me with discouragement, I whisper the name of Jesus and He comes to me and holds me in His precious arms. He tells me that He is with me and will stand beside me and help me face the situation. I can feel Him planting kisses in my heart. Jesus, I love You so much! You are the Joy of my heart, the Reason I’m living, and the Sonshine of my life!
