There are many hungry people in this world. Some are hungry for food and some are hungry for love. I have read of a committee being formed to set up committees to discuss feeding the poor and hungry. If a person is hungry, they don’t have time for us to discuss their hunger.
Jesus said in this verse, “give ye them to eat”. He didn’t say to discuss it, He said to take action. It is almost impossible to tell people the Good News of Jesus if their stomachs are growling and empty. If we know of someone who needs food, we need to be obedient in feeding them if we are able to do so.
There are people who are starving for love. They desperately need someone to hug them and prove to them that Jesus Loves them. We can talk all day and tell them that Jesus Loves them, but if we don’t take actions to prove it, they will not believe it.
When is the last time you hugged someone for Jesus? When is the last time you called someone? There may come a day when you are hungry for food and love and if you don’t give from your heart to others, it is very doubtful you will receive food and love. This saying is so true, “You get back what you give out”.
