I’M ALIVE

“And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.”

Mark 16: 5 – 7 King James Version

“Why are you crying? I’m alive! I have risen from the grave. However, I’m lonely; would you spend some time with Me? When you go on vacation, can I go with you? I don’t want to watch that movie; please turn it off as it makes Me very sad. I don’t like violence.” If we will listen with our hearts, we will hear our risen Saviour calling us. He longs to spend time with us. We are precious to Him. He wants to give us His peace, a lasting peace, a peace that the world can’t give us and the world can’t take away.

As we celebrate the resurrection of our Saviour, let’s allow His unconditional love to fill our hearts so that we may be able to give His love to all we meet. There are so many people who are hurting and a lot of them are reluctant to reach out and share with someone for fear of being ridiculed and judged. Just as Jesus provides a safe harbor for us to come to Him when we are drowning in heartaches and pain, we should also provide a listening ear, compassion and hugs for our loved ones, friends, and the world.

It’s time we stop living as if He is still dead. He is alive; He has risen! By His sacrificial death on that cross of agony and horror, He satisfied the requirements of a Holy God. We are cleansed, forgiven and loved. Is He alive in your heart today? Have you allowed Him to take away the pain of your past? You don’t have to live in shame any more. Your sins are washed away in the precious blood of our risen Saviour. Thank God for the cross of love. Thank God that one day out of a precious heart filled with compassion and love Jesus died for us.

One day He is coming back for us and it could be today. Are you ready to meet Him? Have you given your heart and life to the one who died for you? If not, I pray that you will do it even as you are reading this. Please don’t wait! We don’t have the promise of even another minute; all we have is right now.

Say yes to Jesus and He will cleanse you, forgive you and come into your heart to be your personal Saviour. He will be with you through the long lonely midnight hours when the tears that you keep hidden from your loved ones flow. He will hold you tenderly in His arms of compassion and understanding and rock you to sleep. What a Saviour, this Jesus of Nazareth!
