As the bride and groom turned to face their family and friends, the pastor said “I now present to you Mr. and Mrs. Smith”. I just used the name “Smith” for the illustration. Every time a precious soul is saved through the atoning blood of our Saviour, God turns to the angels and says “I now present to you Jesus and whoever the person is”. I have been to several wedding receptions. Some of the receptions were small and some were big but not even the biggest reception on earth can equal the celebration that goes on in Heaven when a person becomes united with Jesus.
If you are a parent then you know when someone says or does something kind to your child, you are very happy. It is the same with God. When a sinner accepts Jesus into his or her heart as his or her personal Saviour, God rejoices and His heart is moved to tears of joy. It is an ongoing circle of unconditional Love. God presented Jesus to us; Jesus presented His body for our salvation and now God presents us united in marriage with Jesus to the angels. There is a celebration of victory and happiness held for every person that unites with Jesus and enters into a marriage with the greatest Bridegroom of all.
Has God announced your marriage to Jesus? Have you given Him your heart and committed your life to Jesus? Have you taken the vow to love, honor and obey Jesus? Does God have tears of happiness in His heart over you or does He have tears of sorrow? Are you in love with Jesus? Is His happiness the most important thing in your life? Do you give Him top priority?
