IT BROKE HIS HEART

“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.”

Matthew 9: 35, 36 King James Version

I received an email from someone who is hurting. I replied and told the person “I don’t know what circumstances you’re facing, but this one thing I know, Jesus Loves you and cares about you. It is breaking His heart that you are hurting. He longs to comfort you as only He can. Run into His waiting arms and tell Him how you’re feeling. He already knows, but He wants you to tell Him all about it.”

We can depend on Jesus! He is faithful and He really does care when we are hurting. As I was writing my reply to this person, Jesus spoke to my heart and said, “Just as it breaks My heart that this person is hurting, it broke My heart when you were hurting the other day”. His heart is full of compassion, understanding, mercy and Love for us. He hurts when we hurt, and He rejoices when we are happy.

You can depend on Him, but can He depend on you? Have you surrendered everything to Him? Have you given Him all of your time, talents and possessions or are you keeping some for yourself? Do you put Him ahead of everyone and everything? Have you given your life in full time service to the One who gave His all for you? The depth of our love for Jesus will be shown by our service to Him. Jesus deserves everything that we have. O that we would fall in love with Him and prove to Him by our actions how much we love Him.
