JESUS GIVES LOVE AND LIFE

I was talking over the telephone tonight with a very close and dear friend who has known me for over twenty years. I was telling her how excited I was that my nephew had contacted me. I told her that I had been very hateful to my nephews when they were growing up

Before Jesus touched my heart and changed me, I was a terrible person. I hated everyone and certainly didn’t trust anybody. I had the biggest self pity party that anyone has ever had. I thought to myself over and over, “Poor me, I’m so mistreated”. In reality, I was the one who was mistreating my family.

I tried for many years to change, to become a kind and caring person but it didn’t work because Jesus wasn’t in my heart. We are unable to change ourselves. Every one of us is rotten without the blood of Jesus applied to our hearts. Jesus not only gives us unconditional Love; He gives us a new life of happiness and joy.

If you have been trying to be kind and loving to your family and friends, it will never happen unless Jesus is in your heart. Jesus is Love! Yes, we will have heartaches and sorrows in this life, but Jesus felt a depth of heartache and sorrow that nobody will ever know. Thank You, Jesus, for coming to me when I couldn’t go to You. I love You so much! Worthy is the Lamb of God!
