I have been contacting people who tried to help me in the past when I was going through all those years of depression to tell them how Jesus has changed my heart and life. One counselor that I had at a local facility said, "You don’t even sound like the lady that sat in my office feeling suicidal and crying hysterically".
She asked me why I was so happy and excited. I told her it is because I know that Jesus Loves me, and with that knowledge, nothing and nobody can keep me down. This lady is in a very important and high position where I live and counsels twenty to thirty people a day. When I had explained to her that no person could give me happiness, that it took the Precious Love of Jesus to change me, the lady started weeping and said, "Thank you so much for calling me today".
If someone comes to you and asks you why you are happy and excited, what will you tell him or her? The Bible says that we are to be ready to give an answer. I don’t know all the geographical or historical places in the Bible, but I do know the Heart of Jesus. Jesus is the reason for the Joy and Peace in my heart today.
Do you have this Hope in your heart? Do you know Jesus and His Saving Grace? He is waiting for you to come to Him. If you want to be happy even in the midst of heartache and anguish, fall in love with Jesus, and He will turn your night into day.
