KEEP ON LOVING

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, go good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”

I believe with all my heart when God had to kick satan out of heaven that it hurt Him and His heart was broken. I also believe that God still loves satan. When I was in the bathroom this morning washing my face, I realized that God does indeed still love satan but because satan tried to take God’s job over, He had to remove him from heaven. I don’t believe that God was jealous of satan taking His place. He did it because He knew that it would hurt us if satan took over. God did just as He and Jesus have been doing for us all along; He put our welfare and happiness first. What amazing love!

If God still loves satan, then we should also keep on loving when people say unkind things to us. Yes, it hurts and it is hard to keep on loving and forgiving when people say cruel and sarcastic things to us but the closer we draw to Jesus, the easier it will be to love and forgive. If we expect them to keep on loving and forgiving us, then we should do the same for them.

Are you loving others and forgiving from your heart as Jesus has commanded or are you still harboring unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness and hatred in your heart? If so, then you are hurting Jesus and you need to ask Him to help you forgive and love unconditionally. Have you asked Jesus to forgive you and save you? If not, I urge you to do it now before it is too late!
