As I was checking my email when I got up this morning, I found myself looking first for names of my family. One day, the Book of Life is going to be opened and if our names are not there we will not go to Heaven. We will have utter darkness, desolation, and torment for eternity instead of fellowshipping with Jesus.
None of us have ever experienced or ever will experience the darkness and torment of hell. We can’t even imagine how terrible that is going to be, but the worse thing about hell is that it is eternal separation from Jesus. If I didn’t know for certain that one day I will be with Jesus for Eternity, I would give up, go to bed and never get up again.
If you have never invited the Christ of Calvary into your heart and life, there is no better time than right this minute. Many people have parents who have been praying for them for years. I have heard and read many testimonies of people who said “The reason I’m saved today is because of my parents who prayed for me and never gave up on me”.
Parents, if you haven’t been praying for your children’s salvation, please start today. However, if you aren’t saved yourself, then you need to give your heart to Jesus. You have provided clothing, food and shelter for your children all their lives, but the greatest thing, and also the most important thing, you can give your children is Jesus. Let your children see Jesus living in you through your words and actions.
