MAKE EACH DAY SPECIAL

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”

Christmas is next month. Children are excited knowing they will receive gifts. They probably are behaving better now than they have all year. Not only should we make Christmas special for them, we should make every day special for them.

I wonder if we don’t do the same thing with Jesus. When we need something from Him, we make an extra effort to please Him. He gives us good gifts every day, just waking up in the morning is a special gift from Him.

We need to make a smile part of our normal dress when we get up in the morning. We may have heavy burdens, but we can always smile when we remember how much Jesus Loves us and the sacrifice that He made for us on the cross. Nobody wants to be around someone who is frowning and gloomy most of the time. Knowing Jesus like I do, I am sure that most of the time He had a smile on His face.

Let’s make our families happy all year long, not just on special occasions. Most important of all, tell Jesus every day how special He is and how much you appreciate Him. We should do our best to make every day special for Jesus. If ever someone deserves gifts of love, praise, adoration and gratitude, it is our wonderful Saviour.
