MORE THAN WE NEED

I was looking for some toys for my parakeet, and my sister said that my parakeet didn’t need any more toys. Yet, when her children were little, she bought them a lot of toys, which they did not need. She bought the toys because she loves her children and wanted to make them happy. I wanted to buy the toys for my parakeet because I love her and want to make her happy.

Jesus gives us much more than we need. He is preparing mansions for us, not little houses, but mansions. We don’t need a mansion. He is doing it because He Loves us. We also don’t need boats, furs, swimming pools, beautiful big homes, and expensive cars. Yet, He allows us to have them because He Loves us and wants us to be happy.

Yes, Jesus truly gives us more than we need, and much, much more than we deserve. The question for us is, "What have I given to Jesus today"?
