A portion of my lung has collapsed and sometimes I have trouble breathing. Last year after the hurricanes hit and the electricity was still off, it was very hot and I had some difficulty breathing right because of no air conditioning. The thought hit me like an arrow in my heart last night that Jesus never had air conditioning when He was here.
When Jesus was hanging on that cruel cross of torture for our sins, He had difficulty breathing right. He had been beaten beyond recognition. They cursed Him, mocked Him and rejected Him. Not only was His body broken that day on the cross, His heart was broken. All He had ever done was try to give His Love away but they said He was guilty of a crime.
Jesus has done so much for us, how can we not serve Him? Yet, sad to say, there are people who aren’t willing to step out of their comfort zone and minister to their families, loved ones and friends, and to a world that is hurting and lonely. Everything we have belongs to Jesus, our homes, our vehicles, our time, our talents and all that we possess.
Have you allowed Jesus to deposit His precious atoning blood in your heart to cool you from the heat of satan and hell? Do you have a personal relationship with Him? Your parents, children, spouses, siblings and friends can do nothing to assure you of a home in Heaven. You must make a heart commitment to Jesus, or you will spend eternity without Him. Give your heart to Jesus today!
