Last night I sent out a message to everyone on my mailing list with a graphic that says “Praying For You”. This morning I received an email from a dear lady saying that it had encouraged her and she felt hugged. It’s not about us, it’s about others. My prayer partner had made that graphic for me last night. It wasn’t about her last night, she had thought about me.
When Jesus was tortured beyond recognition and hung on the cruel Cross of Calvary, it wasn’t about Him, it was about us. He set the example for us to follow. Our Blessed Saviour allowed Himself to be spat upon, cursed, mocked, ridiculed, and abused physically, as well as emotionally for us. There is no greater Love than that of our Dear Saviour.
It’s not about how much money we can make, it’s about how much love we can give to others. It’s not about how big and beautiful our homes are, it’s about inviting people to our homes for a meal. It’s not about driving a big fancy car, it’s about giving someone a ride to the doctor. It’s not about our big heated swimming pools, it’s about inviting people to swim and be refreshed during the heat of the day.
No, it’s not about us, it’s about each other. It’s about Jesus, the Saviour of the world. Have you invited the Christ of Calvary into your heart? If not, I urge you to do it now before it is too late. As Jesus arose from the dead, allow Him to rise in your dead sinful heart. He will give you a new heart filled with love for others.
