I have a new parakeet that I bought last night. His name is Sunshine. He is beautiful and has already brought me much joy. The sun that comes up in the morning brightens the day and makes everything seem more cheerful. However, I have a greater Sonshine in my heart and His name is Jesus. Without His Love in my heart, I would be still be in darkness no matter how bright it was outside or how many parakeets I had.
There are times when we hurt so badly and it feels like there will never be hope and light in our hearts again. When we are feeling like this, we need to run as fast as we can to Jesus and let Him light our hearts once again with His hope, compassion, tenderness and understanding. There is no heartache that we feel that Jesus didn’t feel. He knows all about pain and sorrow. His heart was broken time and time again when He was here on earth and it is still being broken today by people rejecting, cursing, ignoring and ridiculing Him. He sees how we hurt people with our criticism, judgment and sarcasm and His heart breaks once again. Hasn’t He been hurt enough? It is time that we stop hurting Him and concentrate on making Him happy!

If you haven’t, please don’t wait one more minute because you may not have one more minute. Your family loves you and wants to meet you in Heaven. Give your heart and life to the One who gave His all for you on a cross of unconditional Love.
