This verse says that not only is Jesus Compassionate, He is full of Compassion and of great Mercy. All of us need His Mercy and Compassion every day. The verse says that He is slow to anger for which we should be thankful because all of us hurt Him and fail Him in some way every day. Thank God for His Amazing Love!
I have received several emails in the last week telling me that they needed encouragement because they are going through very difficult situations. We need to be an encouragement to one another. We need to love and pray for each other, but when it comes right down to it, only Jesus can take the hurt and pain away from our hearts. Only Jesus really understands how we feel.
I received an email this morning from someone who said that the Devotionals I send daily was the only encouragement she had been getting. What a sad statement, and what a condemning statement to those of us who claim to be Christians! We need to be extending to others understanding, compassion, and forgiveness.
Let’s make a special effort to encourage someone today by telling him or her how much Jesus Loves him or her, and then proving it by the things we say and the things we do. Never forget that someday you may be the one who needs understanding, love, and encouragement.
